CrushOn AI is popular for good reasons and this page says what it does well. But it is a metered platform from top to bottom, and the way its credits, adverts and chat history work is not obvious until you are already using it.
What CrushOn does well
Credit where it is due. CrushOn permits adult content, has a large character library, and its paid plans give characters a lot of working memory: reviewers report 16K on the entry plans and more on the higher ones, which keeps long conversations coherent. Its cheapest plan is cheap too, at around $5.99 a month. If you want a big memory on a small budget and do not mind counting messages, it is a reasonable choice.
Everything is metered
CrushOn sells message credits, not access. The free tier is a small allowance, and on the most recent reporting both your messages and the character's replies count against it, with regenerating or continuing a reply costing extra. Sources disagree on the exact free figure, which itself tells you how often it changes.
The paid plans are metered as well. Each tier is a monthly bundle of credits, and the plans climb steeply: reviewers list tiers from $5.99 up to $199.99 a month, with the largest allowances reserved for the most expensive plans. Heavy roleplayers end up watching a counter instead of the story.
Adverts and chat history
The free tier shows adverts between sessions. Reporting from September 2026 also describes free chat history being deleted after seven days of inactivity, with a cap on how many messages are kept per character. Step away for a week and the story can be gone.
Privacy

How RolePlaya is different

Who should stay on CrushOn
If you chat in short bursts, stay within your credits, and want a large working memory on the cheapest possible plan, CrushOn does that well.
