1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using RolePlaya.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to use RolePlaya. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. We employ automated detection systems to identify and prevent underage content. Any attempt to circumvent these systems will result in immediate account termination.
3. Description of Service
RolePlaya is a platform that provides AI-powered roleplay interactions with fictional characters. All characters and conversations are generated by artificial intelligence and are entirely fictional. The fictional nature of content on this platform does not exempt users from these Terms, our content policies, or applicable laws. All rules above apply regardless of whether content is presented as fictional, roleplay, or hypothetical.
4. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, including a valid email address and truthful date of birth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use our Service to:
- Engage with content involving minors in any sexual or inappropriate context
- Create characters that are described as, appear to be, are implied to be, or visually depict anyone under 18 years of age, regardless of any stated age
- Upload, generate, or use images that depict or appear to depict minors in any context, including but not limited to character avatars, profile images, and AI-generated images
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Attempt to bypass our safety systems, content moderation, or age verification
- Share personal information of yourself or others with AI characters
- Use the Service for any illegal activities
- Attempt to reverse engineer or copy our AI technology
- Upload, generate, or share any nudity, sexually explicit images, or pornographic content depicting real people
6. Content and AI Interactions
All AI characters and responses are fictional and generated by artificial intelligence. We do not endorse or take responsibility for AI-generated content. AI responses may not always be appropriate or accurate. Users interact with AI at their own discretion and risk. We reserve the right to monitor and moderate content for safety purposes using both automated systems and manual review. We reserve the right to immediately and permanently delete any content, characters, or user accounts that violate these Terms without prior warning, notice, or explanation. Any user found creating, sharing, or engaging with prohibited content will have their account terminated and all associated content permanently removed without refund or recourse. All moderation decisions are final and made at RolePlaya's sole discretion. Characters with gibberish, spam, or nonsensical content that are made public may be deleted without warning to maintain platform quality.
7. Reporting and Law Enforcement
RolePlaya reserves the right to report any suspected illegal activity or content to the relevant law enforcement authorities in the applicable jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to, content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates the sexual exploitation of minors. We may preserve and disclose account information, IP addresses, and content data where we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect the safety of any person, or prevent illegal activity. Users who encounter prohibited content on the platform are encouraged to report it immediately using the in-app reporting tools or by contacting us through our socials.
8. Privacy and Data
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy. We may collect usage data to improve our Service. We do not share personal information with third parties except as outlined in our Privacy Policy or as required by law or legal process. Chat logs may be stored for service improvement and safety purposes.
9. Playa Points and Virtual Currency
Playa Points are virtual currency with no real-world value. Points cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between users. We reserve the right to modify the points system at any time. Unused points have no expiration date but may be forfeited if Terms are violated.
10. Intellectual Property
RolePlaya retains all rights to our platform, AI technology, and branding. Users retain rights to their original input, but grant us a licence to use it for service operation. AI-generated content is considered our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise our content without permission.
11. Service Availability
We strive to maintain service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to: accuracy or appropriateness of AI responses, continuous availability of the Service, fitness for any particular purpose, and non-infringement of third-party rights.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months. We are not responsible for any psychological impact or emotional distress caused by AI interactions.
14. User Conduct and Safety
This Service is for entertainment purposes only and is not a substitute for professional therapy, counselling, or medical advice. If you are experiencing mental health issues, please consult qualified professionals. We encourage responsible use and taking breaks from the platform as needed.
15. Termination and Enforcement
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account, at our sole discretion, for any violation of these Terms or for conduct we reasonably believe threatens the safety of our platform or its users. This includes but is not limited to IP address bans, email bans, and content removal. We are under no obligation to provide prior notice, explanation, or reason for any enforcement action. All enforcement decisions are final. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, but these Terms will continue to apply to any prior use.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notifications.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to online services operating internationally. In the event of any dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the country where RolePlaya's registered business operates at the time the dispute arises.

19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
20. Trading Cards & Digital Collectibles
By using RolePlaya, you acknowledge and agree that:
a) Image Usage: Any character images uploaded to or generated on RolePlaya may be used to create Gold Character Trading Cards and other digital collectibles. This includes character avatars, profile images, and AI-generated images. By uploading or creating content on the platform, you grant RolePlaya the right to use these images for trading card creation and display across the platform.
b) No Monetary Value: Gold Character Trading Cards are digital collectibles with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, refunds, or any form of real currency. Trading cards may only be traded with other users or sold for Playa Points within the platform.
c) Ownership & Transfer: Trading cards remain the property of RolePlaya. Users are granted a limited licence to collect, trade, and display cards within the platform. RolePlaya reserves the right to modify, remove, or reset trading card systems at any time without compensation.
d) Marketplace Transactions: All marketplace sales are final. Playa Points spent on card purchases are non-refundable. Users are responsible for setting fair prices; RolePlaya does not mediate pricing disputes.
e) Character Creator Rights: If your character is featured on a trading card, you retain credit as the creator but grant RolePlaya permission to distribute the card to other users through the Prize Wheel and trading systems.
